32 teams to compete in one-day floodlight tournament on October 1

JAMSHEDPUR – The United Football Association (UFA) is set to host a one-day floodlight football tournament featuring 32 teams in a seven-a-side format.

The 18th Mohan Singh Memorial Tournament will take place on October 1, 2024.

The event will be held at the D.V.C. Ground near Manifit Exchange, commencing at 7:00 PM.

Moreover, each match will last 15 minutes, with penalty shootouts deciding drawn games.

Prashant Singh ‘Putul’, Director of SCCN News, announced the tournament details at a press conference.

He emphasized that the referee’s decision will be final in all situations.

Furthermore, participating teams must have a jersey and a football in good condition.

The entry fee for the tournament is set at Rs. 4,000 per team.

However, teams must register by the deadline of September 28, 2024.

Referees from the Jharkhand State Association (JSA) will officiate all matches.

Meanwhile, the winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 60,000 and a trophy.

The runners-up will take home Rs. 40,000 and a trophy.

Additionally, the third and fourth-placed teams will each receive Rs. 5,000.

This tournament highlights the growing interest in local football competitions.

It also provides a platform for emerging talent in the region to showcase their skills.
