• Tata-Patna Vande Bharat Express to be flagged off

JAMSHEDPUR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make history with his upcoming visit to the iconic Tatanagar Railway Station, marking the first-ever prime ministerial visit to this crucial transportation hub.

The station, established in 1891, has never before welcomed a sitting Prime Minister.

On September 15, PM Modi will inaugurate the Tata-Patna Vande Bharat Express.

This event highlights the station’s enduring importance to India’s infrastructure.

Tatanagar, formerly known as Kalimati, has long been a vital link between eastern and western India.

In 1919, Lord Chelmsford renamed the station and nearby town to honor industrialist Jamshedji Tata.

Moreover, the station played a crucial role during the Covid-19 pandemic.

It served as a key transit point for distributing oxygen supplies across the country.

Thousands of tons of life-saving oxygen were dispatched from Tatanagar during the crisis.

Meanwhile, the station is undergoing preparations to welcome the Prime Minister.

Enhanced security measures and decorations are being put in place for this historic occasion.

On the other hand, this visit underscores Tatanagar’s ongoing significance in India’s development.

The station continues to be a critical hub for both industrial and passenger transportation.

In addition, the flagging off of the Vande Bharat Express signifies a new era of modernization.

This event marks a significant milestone in the station’s 132-year history.
