JAMSHEDPUR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate multiple Vande Bharat Express services from Tatanagar Railway Station, marking a significant boost to regional rail connectivity.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Jamshedpur on September 15 will see the simultaneous launch of 11 Vande Bharat Express trains.

These new services aim to enhance travel efficiency across various regions of India.

Among the routes to be inaugurated are Tata-Patna, Rourkela-Howrah, and Tata-Berhampur under the South Eastern Railway.

Other connections include Berhampur-Tatanagar, Deoghar-Varanasi, and Nagpur-Secunderabad, among others.

A local resident expressed excitement, stating, "These new trains will greatly reduce travel times and improve our connectivity to major cities."

Extensive Preparations Underway

Cleaning operations are in full swing at Tatanagar Railway Station ahead of the high-profile event.

Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway, personally inspected the station on Tuesday.

He confirmed that Modi will use a remote button and green flag to launch the trains from platform one.

The Prime Minister’s program is expected to last about an hour, including interactions with students and local residents.

Security Measures Intensified

The Special Protection Group (SPG) will take control of platform number one from September 11.

Passenger movement will be restricted, with alternate arrangements made to minimize disruptions.

"We’re implementing stringent security protocols to ensure a smooth and safe event," a senior railway official commented.

Railway Minister’s Pre-Event Visit

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is scheduled to arrive at Tatanagar on September 14.

He will review development works and participate in the main program the following day.

Ved Prakash, the minister’s Officer on Special Duty, has already visited to assess preparations.
