Smart India Hackathon 2024: NIT Jamshedpur Holds Internal Hackathon

Over 70 teams participated in NIT Jamshedpur’s internal hackathon for SIH 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – NIT Jamshedpur organized an internal hackathon on September 9, 2024, for the upcoming Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024.

Over 500 students from various engineering disciplines registered, forming around 90 teams.

Out of these, more than 70 teams successfully presented their innovative ideas on themes defined by both government and private sectors.

The event was held under the direction of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The hackathon was coordinated by Prof. D.K. Yadav and Dr. Vishesh Ranjan Kar, who served as the event’s chairman and coordinator, respectively.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mayuk Sarkar, Dr. Amit Mazumdar, Dr. Arjun Kumar, Dr. G. Yoganuneyulu, Dr. Anushree Dutta, Dr. Ravi Bhushan, and Dr. Survi Pal played key roles as active committee members.

A panel of experts, including Dr. Gopa Bhowmik, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Dr. B. Ramachandra Reddy, Dr. Jitesh Pradhan, Dr. Chandrashekhar Azad, and Dr. Basant Bhowmik, evaluated the ideas.

The evaluation committee is tasked with recommending the top 50 teams for the national-level SIH 2024.

The event was supported by the Research and Consultancy Division of NIT Jamshedpur, under the guidance of Director Prof. Gautam Sutradhar.
