Domestic dispute leads to tragedy as 28-year-old hangs herself

SERAIKELA – A 28-year-old woman tragically ended her life following a domestic dispute in Sohandih, Saraikela district.

Priti Jha, a resident of Sohandeeh, was discovered lifeless in her rented accommodation on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 10 AM, shortly after an altercation with her husband.

Pintu Jha, the deceased’s spouse, had left for work at a local waste processing facility following the argument.

Neighbors grew concerned when they noticed Priti’s absence and received no response to their knocks.

The landlord made the grim discovery upon peering through a window.

OP in-charge Rajendra Kumar promptly arrived at the scene with his team.

The body was sent to Saraikela Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.

"We are investigating the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident," stated a police official.

Authorities have not yet received any formal complaint from the deceased’s family.

The couple had been residing in the rented property for an undisclosed period.

Community members expressed shock at the sudden turn of events in their neighborhood.

Local counseling services emphasized the importance of seeking help during relationship difficulties.
