Prabhat Singh alias Nannu Singh, along with three others, has been arrested for the August 17 firing incident in Bistupur.
Jamshedpur Police have arrested the mastermind and three other criminals involved in the recent car showroom firing case under Bistupur police station.
JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Police have arrested four criminals, including the mastermind, in connection with the August 17 firing at a car showroom in Bistupur.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Prabhat Singh alias Nannu Singh, Abhishek Singh alias Pandit, Aman Singh alias Golu, and Shubham Singh.
Earlier, two criminals were already arrested with weapons and cartridges and sent to judicial custody in relation to this case.
Since then, the police had been actively conducting raids to nab the remaining culprits.
Providing details about the arrests, Jamshedpur SSP Kishore Kaushal stated, "A team led by City SP conducted an in-depth investigation and successfully apprehended the mastermind and three other criminals."
The mastermind, Prabhat Singh, hails from Sidhgora, while his associates, Abhishek Singh alias Pandit and Shubham Singh, are from Banka district in Bihar.
Aman Singh alias Golu is from Deoghar.
Their primary motive was to instill fear among businessmen and traders and extort money from them.
"They had also threatened other businessmen in the city," SSP Kaushal added.
He further mentioned that all arrested individuals are professional criminals with multiple cases registered against them.
The police have recovered the car used in the showroom firing, along with the mobile phones used for extortion and other devices belonging to the criminals.
Following interrogation, all the accused are being sent to judicial custody.
