NIT Jamshedpur Student Bags Rs 1.23 Crore Package

Record placements: 93.76% B.Tech students placed, Metallurgy achieves 100%

NIT Jamshedpur reports exceptional placement results for 2023-’24, with a student securing a record Rs 1.23 crore package.

JAMSHEDPUR – NIT Jamshedpur celebrates outstanding placements for the 2023-’24 academic year, with computer science student Srishti Chirania securing a record Rs 1.23 crore package from US-based Rubrik.

The institute achieved a remarkable 93.76% placement rate for B.Tech students this year.

Six students, including Tanya Singh and Apurv Sinha, landed Rs 82 lakh per annum packages with Atlassian.

Prof. Gautam Sutradhar, Institute Director, and Prof. AK Chaudhary, Training and Placement Officer, announced the placement results.

Out of 673 B.Tech students, 631 secured placements, showcasing the institute’s strong industry connections.

The Metallurgy department achieved an impressive 100% placement rate.

125 M.Tech and 80 MCA students also secured placements during this academic year.

The highest package for M.Tech and MCA programs stood at Rs 40.33 lakh per annum.

NIT Jamshedpur plans to introduce evening classes for its PG program starting August 12.

New courses in Data Science and Smart Manufacturing will be offered under the M.Tech program.

A Master in Design course will be introduced as part of a nationwide initiative including 22 NITs and IITs.

The institute continues to expand its academic offerings to meet evolving industry demands.
