Branch celebrates 25 years, honors 28 students at Annual General Meeting

All India Anglo-Indian Association’s Jamshedpur Branch commemorates Silver Jubilee and elects new committee.

JAMSHEDPUR – The All India Anglo-Indian Association’s Jamshedpur Branch celebrated its Silver Jubilee and Annual General Meeting (AGM) at The Boulevard Hotel, Bistupur on Saturday.

The event, held from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, saw a large turnout of members marking 25 years of the association’s presence in Jamshedpur.

Senior member Maryanne Ekka opened the ceremony with a prayer, followed by President Nevada Dalby’s welcome address.

Glenn Galstaun, MLA Jharkhand, attended as the Chief Guest, congratulating the new committee and award-winning students.

The AGM saw the election of a new organizing committee for 2024-25, with Nevada Dalby re-elected as President.

Eustace Sneyd and Garvin Waters were elected as Vice Presidents for the coming year.

Twenty-eight students received awards for outstanding academic achievements in the 2023-24 academic year.

Awards included the Joseph P Galstaun Memorial Award, Leslie Alberts Memorial Award, and Jai Special Award.

The Silver Jubilee celebration featured a cake-cutting ceremony and music, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Eustace Sneyd delivered a vote of thanks, followed by closing remarks from President Dalby.

The event highlighted the association’s commitment to community welfare and academic excellence over its 25-year history in Jamshedpur.
