JAMSHEDPUR – The Durand Cup 2024 commenced with an extraordinary inauguration ceremony at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, which included aerial demonstrations, military displays, and cultural performances.

The event commenced at 2:30 PM, preparing the ground for the Group-D match between Jamshedpur FC and Assam Rifles at 4 PM.

The agility and training of canine units were showcased in a Military Dog Show.

The cultural heritage of Chhota Nagpur was exhibited through traditional Chhau and Paika performances.

The cultural diversity of the event was further enhanced by a lively Nagpuri performance.

The Akash Ganga Team of the Indian Air Force executed an exhilarating skydiving demonstration.

Impressive fly-pasts were executed by fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

A pipe band performance was incorporated into the ceremony to provide a musical component.

Traditional Indian martial arts were underscored through the performance of Kalaripayattu and Khukuri dances.

As the Chief Guest, the contest was inaugurated by Banna Gupta, the Health Minister of Jharkhand.
