Amit Shah Signals Poll Readiness in Jharkhand Visit

Shah slams Soren government, alleges corruption and demographic changes in state

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent Ranchi visit highlights BJP’s preparations for upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections.

RANCHI – Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, marking his first trip to the state since the Lok Sabha elections and signaling the BJP’s readiness for forthcoming state assembly polls.

During the Bharatiya Janata Party’s extended working committee meeting, Shah launched a scathing critique of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s administration.

The Union Minister accused the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government of being the most corrupt in India, alleging its involvement in various scams.

"The current state government has been implicated in mining, liquor, and land scandals amounting to crores of rupees," Shah declared, emphasizing the BJP’s intention to form the next government with a full majority.

Shah raised concerns about demographic shifts in Jharkhand, claiming that outsiders were marrying tribal women to obtain certificates and purchase land.

"This trend is causing a decline in the tribal population of our state," the Home Minister stated, promising a ‘White Paper’ on Jharkhand’s demography if the BJP comes to power.

Contrasting the BJP’s contributions with those of the Congress, Shah asserted, "Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, we’ve allocated 3,84,000 crores for state development in the past decade, compared to the Congress’s 84,000 crores."

The Union Minister also credited Modi for eliminating Naxalism in Jharkhand and neighboring Bihar.

Shah accused Chief Minister Soren of promoting "love jihad" and "land jihad" through what he termed as "vote bank and appeasement policies."

The Home Minister’s visit and strong statements underscore the BJP’s aggressive stance ahead of the upcoming state elections.

With these allegations and promises, Shah has set the stage for an intense political battle in Jharkhand.
