JAMSHEDPUR – The Tatanagar Loco Pilot Training Center recently hosted a two-day workshop aimed at enhancing the emergency response skills of locomotive pilots from across the South Eastern Railway network.

Civil Defense Inspector Santosh Kumar led the training, utilizing multimedia presentations to emphasize twelve essential services that railway management must swiftly activate during accidents.

These services, ranging from headquarters operations to disposal procedures, form the backbone of civilian safety protocols in rail emergencies.

Participants received hands-on instruction in fire safety from demonstrators Anil Kumar Singh and Shankar Kumar Prasad, who showcased proper fire extinguisher usage and improvised stretcher techniques.

Anamika Mandal and Tejita Das provided vital first aid training to round out the comprehensive safety curriculum.

The workshop drew loco pilots from various divisions including Adra, Ranchi, Bokaro, Chakradharpur, Jharsuguda, Kharagpur, Santragachi, and Howrah, underscoring the railway’s commitment to standardizing safety protocols across its network.

This initiative reflects Indian Railways‘ ongoing efforts to bolster its emergency preparedness, prioritizing passenger and staff safety in challenging situations.
