Power Outage Disrupts Jamshedpur Civil Court, Water Woes Plague Telco Area

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Civil Court experienced a sudden power outage at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, disrupting court proceedings for nearly two hours.

Lawyers were forced to vacate the Bar building due to the sweltering heat caused by the blackout.

Court operations resumed at 3:23 PM when electricity was restored.

Meanwhile, residents of Jamco Azad Basti in the Telco area are grappling with a broken main water pipeline.

"Despite complaints, the pipeline near Gurudwara has been leaking for a month, wasting thousands of liters daily," said a ocal social worker.

Singh claims he informed Tata Steel UISL officials about the issue, but no action has been taken.

A resident reported, "Contaminated water is being supplied to homes, increasing the risk of jaundice and typhoid."

These incidents highlight the ongoing infrastructure challenges faced by Jamshedpur’s residents and institutions.
