Power Outage Disrupts Jamshedpur Civil Court, Water Woes Plague Telco Area

Two-hour blackout halts legal proceedings; broken pipeline wastes thousands of liters daily

Infrastructure issues highlight challenges in maintaining essential services across the city.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Civil Court experienced a sudden power outage at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, disrupting court proceedings for nearly two hours.

Lawyers were forced to vacate the Bar building due to the sweltering heat caused by the blackout.

Court operations resumed at 3:23 PM when electricity was restored.

Meanwhile, residents of Jamco Azad Basti in the Telco area are grappling with a broken main water pipeline.

"Despite complaints, the pipeline near Gurudwara has been leaking for a month, wasting thousands of liters daily," said a ocal social worker.

Singh claims he informed Tata Steel UISL officials about the issue, but no action has been taken.

A resident reported, "Contaminated water is being supplied to homes, increasing the risk of jaundice and typhoid."

These incidents highlight the ongoing infrastructure challenges faced by Jamshedpur’s residents and institutions.

The court’s vulnerability to power cuts raises concerns about the efficiency of the legal system during summer months.

The persistent water leak in Telco underscores the need for prompt action in addressing public utility issues.

Local authorities face mounting pressure to improve the reliability of essential services across the city.
