Court Finds Accused Guilty in Land Dispute Murder; Sentencing on June 5
In a significant development in the murder case of Shaboul Haq, alias Danish, a resident and land dealer from Noor Colony, five individuals have been convicted by the court in Azadnagar.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant development in the murder case of Shaboul Haq, alias Danish, a resident and land dealer from Noor Colony, five individuals have been convicted by the court in Azadnagar.
The convictions were made by Chief Justice cum District Judge Anil Kumar Mishra-1 during a hearing on Saturday.
The convicted individuals include Sarfaraz Alam alias Chhotu, Mohammad Salim alias Guddu, Maqsood Alam alias Kala Maqsood, Sheikh Fayaz, and Shahnawaz Khan alias Dabar.
They were found guilty under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder (Section 302), conspiracy (Section 120B), and relevant sections of the Arms Act.
The court is scheduled to hear their sentencing on June 5.
The murder, which occurred during a land dispute, saw Shaboul Haq shot dead on December 29, 2020, while returning home after offering namaz.
The victim’s father, Inamul Haq, filed an FIR stating that his son had an ongoing dispute with the accused over land ownership.
Tensions had escalated between Haq and Dabar over the disputed land prior to the murder.
While four of the accused are currently in custody, Dabar was initially banished by the district administration but appeared in court after obtaining permission.
Following the verdict, Dabar was taken into custody, while the other four accused appeared via video conferencing.
The involvement of the Chowda Raju gang, including TADA, in the murder was also disclosed.
TADA was allegedly responsible for another murder near Bari Colony, which resulted in the loss of a police personnel’s life.
