Celebrating Everyday Moments: Rediscovering Quality Time with Mom

Mother’s Day reminds us to cherish the unbreakable bond we share with our mothers

Amidst the bustling gift shops and heartfelt gestures, Mother’s Day prompts us to reflect on what our mothers truly desire – quality time spent together. Beyond material presents, the greatest gift we can offer is our undivided attention and genuine presence in their lives.

Mother’s Day is around the corner. The gift shops are bustling with people to express their emotions for their mothers.

Greeting cards, flower bouquet advance orders and what not.

Ranging from humble chocolates to jewelry, everyone desires to make the day special.

Have we ever given a thought, what do mothers want?

Do they aspire to get gifts from those they brought into the world?

It is a saying God couldn’t be everywhere so he made mothers. How true we haven’t ever seen God, but our mothers. Since childhood when we have received the slightest hurt we have yelled O Mother.

The word Mother, pronounced in our mother tongues. Our journey of growing up is dependent on our mothers. They teach us everything needed to stay alive, from learning hygienic habits to language skills, behavioral manners and then education too gets imbibed in this list.

Now in the present times when the internet has gained a mammoth chunk of our daily lives, it has affected family time too. In the earlier days family passed time together with lesser means bounded by one another.

Now it is not the case, the improvement of economic conditions and also the need of the internet for various reasons every hand has access to mobiles. The dining times too aren’t spared from this phenomena.

The times that were dedicated to families aren’t anymore. Everyone is busy in his/her own world of surfing and finding what to spend time with except those who are an integral part of our existence.

The list always begins with mothers. In India several mothers sacrifice their careers for the better upbringing of their children and for the better handling of the household chores.

The home stay mothers are the worst sufferers of the advent of technology in their space.

We all stay engrossed in our own created world and leave behind the one who wants nothing from us but a little attention.

A fistful time to spend with the person who made life a possibility for us.

On this Mother’s Day let us pledge to spend more time with our mothers. Let us make her remember she is very much part of our lives.

Why the need to celebrate Mother’s Day?

Let us make our mothers feel special and loved to the moon and back on each day of her life. Let us discover the we-time with our mothers in our daily schedules.
