Impending Announcement for JMM Candidate in Jamshedpur Ahead of 2024 Polls
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is set to officially nominate Samir Mohanty for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency, reflecting strategic electoral preparations.
JAMSHEDPUR – In anticipation of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is on the verge of confirming Samir Mohanty as its candidate for the Jamshedpur seat, signaling robust pre-election activities within the party.
Following productive discussions between JMM’s Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and Samir Mohanty, an official declaration is expected soon, adding to the list of JMM’s candidates already announced for other constituencies.
The party recently released its second list of candidates, positioning Vijay Hansda and Joba Manjhi for the Rajmahal and Singhbhum seats respectively, both designated for Scheduled Tribes.
The broader electoral strategy involves the alliance of JMM with Congress, RJD, and CPI(ML), aiming to contest all 14 Lok Sabha seats allocated to Jharkhand, with JMM fielding candidates in five of these.
Congress has outlined its contenders for seven constituencies including Lohardaga and Ranchi, while CPI(ML) and RJD have settled on their representatives for Koderma and Palamu respectively.
A local JMM supporter shared, "We are optimistic about Mohanty’s nomination and believe his candidacy will strongly resonate with the voters of Jamshedpur."
