Students Engage in Environmental Activities for Earth Day at S.D.S.M. School

S.D.S.M. School for Excellence held an Earth Day event focused on raising environmental awareness and advocating for sustainable practices.

JAMSHEDPUR – S.D.S.M. School for Excellence held an Earth Day event focused on raising environmental awareness and advocating for sustainable practices.

Principal Moushumi Das called for a commitment to sustainable practices and encouraged the use of eco-friendly products over plastic.

Students participated in a range of activities like Drawing, Slogan Writing, and Quizzes, all designed to highlight the dangers of plastic pollution and promote conservation efforts.

The Eco Club’s key initiative was to educate about Climate Change and emphasize the reduction of plastic usage as critical to protecting our planet.

During the school assembly, winners of various environmental competitions were recognized, bolstering their commitment to ecological causes.

Younger students performed a skit that powerfully addressed water conservation and the need to eliminate plastic use.

The day’s theme, ‘No Plastic for a Safe Planet,’ underlined the urgent need to address plastic pollution as part of broader environmental conservation efforts.

Through these initiatives, the school aimed to instill a deep respect for the environment, demonstrating the importance of shared responsibility in preserving our planet.
