Tragic Family Dispute in Seraikela Leads to Fatal Attack Over Land

Son Attacks Parents Over Property Share, Mother Killed and Father Critically Injured

In a devastating turn of events in Kanki village, Seraikela, a land dispute between a son and his parents led to violent assault, resulting in the death of the mother and critical injury to the blind father.

SERAIKELA – A grim family conflict in Kanki village under the jurisdiction of Rajnagar police station in Kharsawan district escalated to a tragic confrontation.

An iron-aged son, identified as Rajendra Pradhan, attacked his elderly parents over a disagreement concerning land inheritance.

The mother, Yashomati Pradhan, aged 50, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The father, 65-year-old Yadav Pradhan, was severely wounded and is now in critical condition at Rajnagar CHC.

Rajnagar police have taken the body of the deceased into custody and initiated an investigation into the harrowing incident.

According to sources, the conflict stemmed from Rajendra’s dissatisfaction with how the property was to be divided after his younger brother’s future marriage.

The accused, who is employed in Jamshedpur, reportedly returned to the village on Tuesday during the ongoing Kitarna festival and committed the attack.

The shocking incident has caused a stir in the community as authorities continue to delve into the motives and subsequent legal proceedings.
