Utkal Association Celebrates Odia New Year

Jamshedpur celebrates the Odia New Year with cultural enthusiasm, featuring speeches from local academics and cultural leaders.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Odia New Year was marked by jubilant celebrations at the Utkal Association.

Prof Prabhash Ranjan Sahu, the head of the Odia Department at Tata College, was the chief guest.

He commended the Association’s efforts in promoting Odia language and literature.

The leadership of the Utkal Association, including President Dr. Sridhar Pradhan, emphasized the importance of preserving and propagating the region’s rich literary and cultural heritage.

The event was moderated by Pradip Das and attended by several dignitaries and community members.

Among those present were Vice President Badal Bhuiyan, General Secretary Tarun Kumar Mahanty, and cultural figures such as Kashinath Panda and Aditya Kavi.

This gathering not only celebrated a significant cultural moment but also reinforced the community’s dedication to its heritage.
