Festive Spirit Marks Riverbank Rituals

Jamshedpur witnessed vibrant celebrations of Mangala Puja, with devotees engaging in traditional rituals along the riverbanks, underscored by community support and notable attendees.

JAMSHEDPUR – The city of Jamshedpur recently observed Mangala Puja with considerable enthusiasm, particularly along the Swarnarekha and Kharkai Rivers, where residents performed puja rituals after collecting water from these sacred sites.

A special camp for those observing fasts during Mangala Puja was set up by the Rashtriya Dalit Mukhi Samaj and Jharkhand Mazdoor Union, reinforcing the communal spirit of the occasion.

This event drew participation from former ministers and local leaders, including Dulal Bhuiyan, Chetan Chausa Mukhi, Raju Samant, Shivlal Lohra, and Chhote Sardar, highlighting the festival’s significance across various communities.

Dr. Abhishek Dutta, advisor to the Rashtriya Dalit Mukhi Samaj, along with other dignitaries such as General Secretary Suraj Mukhi, Vice President Satyawan Mukhi, Badal Bhuiyan, Deepak Mandal, and Kamal Yadav, played pivotal roles in the day’s proceedings.

The presence of Umakant Das and Nimai Mandal, representing the District President Mazdoor Union, added to the event’s prominence, showcasing a unified approach to celebrating traditional customs and fostering societal bonds.

The festivities not only celebrated the spiritual essence of Mangala Puja but also brought together diverse sections of the community, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Jamshedpur.
