Meteorologists predict rain and a potential yellow alert in parts of the state as temperatures continue to rise.
Bright sunshine and rapidly increasing temperatures have created a heat wave across Jharkhand, including the Kolhan region. On Thursday morning, Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 38.6 degrees Celsius, 1.2 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was also higher than usual, reaching 22.6 degrees Celsius, a 1.8-degree increase.

Meteorologist Dr. Anand from the Ranchi Center attributes the rising heat to a western disturbance affecting both maximum and minimum temperatures.
The forecast predicts potential rain with a possible yellow alert for the western, southern, and adjoining central parts of the state.
Areas likely to be affected include Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Ramgarh, Deoghar, Jamtara, Giridih, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Seraikela Kharsawan.
