JAMSHEDPUR – The Sakchi Gurudwara’s upcoming Dastaar Bandi (Turban Tying) competition on 25 February stands as a testament to the vibrant celebration of Punjabi culture and the significance of the Dastaar among the Sikh community.

Organized by the Sunny Bhangra Group and Royal Decor, in collaboration with the Sakchi Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, the event promises a lively showcase of Sikh identity and artistry.

The competition is designed to engage both youth and children, providing a platform for them to express their creativity in tying the traditional Sikh turban.

Paramjeet Singh Sunny from the Sunny Bhangra Group and Jasbir Singh Gill of Royal Decor, alongside Sakchi Gurudwara’s General Secretary, Paramjit Singh Kale, have expressed their commitment to promoting Sikh heritage through this event.

A panel of distinguished judges will assess the artistic skills of the participants, with the winners set to receive recognition for their creativity.

The event, culminating in a strategy meeting with key community figures, emphasizes the collective effort to foster appreciation for Sikh traditions among younger generations.

This cultural event not only aims to celebrate the rich Punjabi heritage but also to instill a sense of pride and identity within the Sikh youth of Jamshedpur.
