Inaugural Winter Sports Camp by Tata Steel Brings Festive Cheer and Fitness

Tata Steel’s Winter Sports Camp in Jamshedpur kicks off with over 600 participants in a festive, inclusive atmosphere.

JAMSHEDPUR – The JRD Tata Sports Complex was abuzz with excitement as Tata Steel launched its first Winter Sports Camp 2023.

Over 600 participants joined the festive event, signaling a week of fun, fitness, and community spirit.

The inauguration featured a "Christmas Wonderland" theme, adding to the celebratory mood of the Jamshedpur community.

An array of performances, including Yoga, dance, music, and Zumba, marked the opening ceremony.

Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services at Tata Steel, along with Poonam Chaudhary, attended the event.

Chaudhary praised the camp’s inclusive approach and shared his hopes for it to become a yearly fixture.

Scheduled from December 24 to 31, the camp welcomes young athletes aged 6-18 to explore various sports.

The program offers diverse activities such as swimming, horse riding, badminton, and athletics.

Its emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity aims to nurture a passion for sports across all sections of society.

This initiative reflects Tata Steel’s commitment to fostering community engagement and promoting healthy lifestyles through sports.
