Jamshedpur’s 33rd Flower Show Begins, Emphasizes Life’s Freshness

JAMSHEDPUR – The city of Jamshedpur is currently hosting its 33rd Annual Flower Show, a prominent event for garden enthusiasts.

The show, organized by the Jamshedpur Horticultural Society, runs until December 26, featuring an array of colorful flowers and innovative gardening techniques.

This year’s event has drawn in nature lovers with its diverse program, including cultural activities that celebrate gardening and floral beauty.

The show, a collaboration between the Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur, Tata Steel, and Tata Steel UISL, is a highlight of the city’s cultural calendar.

Technical sessions on topics like smart gardening technology and plant nutrition management are scheduled for December 24 and 25.

Visitors can explore 25 counters, 14 Pan-India stalls, and 12 food stalls, offering a comprehensive experience of horticultural diversity.

The event is also a platform for 780 artists participating in Sit and Draw competitions and various exhibitions.

With an entry fee of only Rs 10, the show provides an affordable opportunity for the public to engage with nature.

Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel, opened the event at Gopal Maidan on Saturday, marking the commencement of this four-day celebration.

In his opening remarks, Chaudhary drew parallels between the resilience and vibrancy of flowers and the full spectrum of life, urging attendees to live with enduring impact.

He lauded the Horticultural Society’s initiative, recognizing the Flower Show as a learning opportunity and a symbol of life’s freshness.
