BJP Workshop Highlights PM Vishwakarma Yojana for Skilled Artisans

PM Vishwakarma Yojana: A Stepping Stone to Self-Reliant India

At the BJP state-level workshop, leaders emphasized the importance of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana in empowering skilled artisans and contributing to a self-reliant India.

RANCHI – The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana was the focal point of a state-level workshop held at the BJP state headquarters, with State President Babulal Marandi highlighting its crucial role in India’s self-reliance.

Marandi stressed the need for a robust, self-sufficient nation, positioning the PM Vishwakarma Yojana as a catalyst for this vision.

The scheme, embodying the ethos of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas,” seeks to connect traditional skills with modern technology.

Marandi pointed out the historical neglect of skilled artisans post-independence, praising Prime Minister Modi for addressing this oversight with the Vishwakarma Yojana.

Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri underscored the scheme’s inclusivity, particularly its impact on backward, Dalit, and tribal communities.

Bauri noted the scheme’s potential to elevate poor and skilled artisans in villages, benefiting both individual growth and village economies.

Nagendra Tripathi, the Regional Organization General Secretary, spoke about the once-revered status of India’s skilled artisans.

He recognized the decline of ancient arts due to financial and motivational challenges, lauding PM Modi’s initiative to reintegrate these artisans into the national economic narrative.

The workshop highlighted the Vishwakarma Yojana’s role in not only preserving traditional skills but also in fostering economic growth and self-reliance at the grassroots level.
