Chakradharpur Mourns Martyr Ramdev Mahato

People Throng to Pay Tribute to Martyred Policeman

Chakradharpur witnessed a solemn gathering as locals paid tribute to martyr Ramdev Mahato, who lost his life in a confrontation with criminals in Jamshedpur.

CHAKRADHARPUR – When the mortal remains of soldier Ramdev Mahato, who was martyred in a confrontation with criminals in Jamshedpur Mango, arrived in Chakradharpur on Saturday, the scene was one of profound sorrow and respect.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and members of the Totemic Kurmi Samaj Chotanagpur gathered at Hanuman Chowk and Pawan Chowk near Prabhat Cinema Hall to offer floral tributes.

A large crowd, including various community leaders and locals, assembled to pay their respects.

Amidst the solemn occasion, people demanded justice for Mahato, calling for the hanging of the accused and chanting slogans to honor the late soldier’s memory.

The police force, led by station in-charge Chandrashekhar Kumar, also paid their respects near the Chakradharpur police station.

Mahato’s body was then transported to his native village, Tartara in Manoharpur, for cremation.

Notable attendees included Karan Mahato, Duryodhan Mahato, and several other community leaders.

The village of Tartara, where Mahato hailed from, is in mourning, with the news of his death bringing immense grief to his family.

Upon receiving the news, Mahato’s mother, Devaki Devi’s health deteriorated significantly, requiring immediate attention.

The police administration has made arrangements for the last rites, ensuring law and order in the village.

Mahato’s act of bravery and sacrifice in Jamshedpur Mango, where he was fatally shot by criminals, has left an indelible mark on the community.

There is a growing call for Mahato to be officially recognized as a martyr and for his family to receive government benefits.

The locals said that the incident highlights the risks faced by law enforcement and the profound impact on their families and communities.
