Young Climbers Shine at Asian Kids Sport Climbing Championship in Jamshedpur

The Asian Kids Sport Climbing Championship 2023, hosted by Tata Steel at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur, showcases young talent and celebrates cultural diversity.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering young talent by hosting the Asian Kids Sport Climbing Championship 2023 at its world-class TSAF facilities in Jamshedpur for the second consecutive year.

This year’s edition, culminating on December 10, promises an enthralling experience for both participants and spectators.

The event, known for its competitive spirit and cultural richness, welcomed participants from eleven Asian countries.

A total of 91 contenders from various nations competed in Youth C and Youth D categories, reflecting a strong international presence.

The championship, organized by TSAF in collaboration with the IMF and iFSC Asia, emphasizes camaraderie and healthy competition among young climbers.

Keerthi Pais and Rasip Inn, representing the IMF and iFSC Asia respectively, graced the inauguration along with Rajiv Mangal from Tata Steel.

Benoit Beylier, CEO of Enterprise Climbing, attended as the Guest of Honor, adding prestige to the event.

The opening ceremony was a vibrant showcase of local culture, featuring the Firkal Dance and lively music by the Band of Prem Jyoti Prangan.

Traditional shawls and Sohrai Art cases were presented to dignitaries, highlighting the region’s rich cultural legacy.

Finally, the young athletes displayed exceptional skill and determination in speed climbing, setting a high bar for the competition’s upcoming days.

The opening day featured the exciting discipline of Speed Climbing and participants displayed exceptional skill and determination. The winners in various categories are as follows:
