JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition Celebrates Bharat Ratna’s 119th Birthday

To commemorate Bharat Ratna JRD Tata’s 119th birthday, Centre for Excellence held the JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Centre for Excellence celebrated Bharat Ratna JRD Tata’s 119th birthday with the JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition.

About 200 talented students from 20 renowned English medium schools in Jamshedpur participated in the event at Michael John Auditorium.

Deepa Verma, Chief HR BP (Corporate Functions), Tata Steel, graced the occasion as the chief guest and handed out awards to the winners.

Deepak Kamath, CEO of Tata Steel Support Services, orchestrated the competition as the quizmaster.

The participants showcased their intellect and knowledge in various areas through a series of challenging questions related to JRD Tata’s life and times.

After a gripping competition, JUSCO School Kadma emerged victorious due to their outstanding knowledge and teamwork.

They were closely followed by J H Tarapore, Dhatkidih as the first runner-up, and Loyola School secured the second runners-up spot.

The winners and the first runners-up are scheduled for a helicopter joyride over Jamshedpur on a Tata Steel aircraft on July 29, 2023.

The JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition serves as a platform to nurture and recognize bright young minds, encouraging a culture of healthy competition, teamwork, and inquisitiveness.

Result summary:

Winner – Jusco School Kadma (Abhinav Kumar Pathak & Shashwat Bhushan)

1st Runners up – J H Tarapore School (Sarakshi Pani & Aastha Raturi)

2nd Runners up – Loyola School (Daksh Jain & Divyansh Agarwal)
