Sawan’s Third Monday Sees Massive Rush at Jamshedpur Mandirs

Devotees throng Jamshedpur’s city mandirs to offer prayers and Jalabhishek on the auspicious third Monday of Sawan.

JAMSHEDPUR – Devotees flocked to city mandirs in significant numbers on the third Monday of Sawan.

Starting early in the morning, queues of devotees lined up to worship Lord Shiva.

To offer water at the mandirs, devotees patiently waited till two in the afternoon.

The afternoon was followed by an Abhishek and an Aarti. Later in the evening, the devotees received Prasad at the Bhog-Bhandara.

Nearly 10,000 worshippers offered water to Lord Shiva in the shrine.

Significant Gatherings Across the City

On Monday, the Naga temple also saw a considerable number of worshippers. The Rajasthan Sangh performed the Abhishek ceremony.

The deities received decorative offerings in the evening. Sri Sri Hanuman Mandir Agrico and other mandirs across the city also witnessed gatherings.

Jalabhishek on the Third Monday of Sawan

On this auspicious day, following sincere adoration at Shivalayas, people performed Jalabhishek.

As it was the first Monday of the Purushottam month, Jalabhishek was conducted at Sidheshwar Baba’s temple using water from different reservoirs and rivers.

Continued Devotion Despite Rain

Even as rain persisted, devotees across the city and countryside conducted Jalabhishek and mandir worship. Lord Bholenath received gifts of belpatra, hemp, dhatura, and other fruits and flowers.

Numerous temples also hosted bhajan kirtan.

The Community’s Unwavering Faith

The third Monday of the holy month saw devotees from all walks of life conducting special rituals and prayers. Bright decorations adorned the streets around temples and riverfront ghats, reflecting the festive mood of the event.
