Hundreds of Girls Students Rally for Better Educational Facilities in Jamshedpur Rural Areas

Rural students in Jamshedpur demand teacher recruitments and improved facilities, highlighting the government’s unfulfilled educational promises.

JAMSHEDPUR – Hundreds of girl students descended upon the district headquarters of Jamshedpur.

They are deeply concerned about their future, amidst apparent government apathy.

These students are advocating for the government to uphold its "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) slogan by providing teachers and basic facilities for their continued education.

Despite efforts by the Hemant government to boost female education through various initiatives, the girls’ protest narrates a different tale.

Their enrollment in rural high schools is compromised due to a lack of residential buildings and teaching staff.

Now, these students and their worried parents are seeking solutions from the district headquarters.

They are bringing their complaints directly to Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav.

According to the protesting parents and students, 14 residential schools operate in the district.

However, after completing the 6th grade, they face teacher shortages and insufficient accommodations.

These issues are severely hampering the students’ desire and ability to continue their education.

Thus, their final hope rests on the state government.

The girls and their parents are demanding that the state government address their concerns and provide the necessary facilities, making the deputy commissioner aware of their struggles.
