Locals flock to Devipur’s Shiv Temple, Bokaro after a viral video claims Nandi idol drinks milk, turning the temple into a late-night devotional hub.
BOKARO – A curious incident at the Devipur Shiv Temple in Gomia block of Bokaro district has drawn hundreds of devotees.
Following a viral video suggesting that the Nandi Baba idol at the temple was able to consume milk and water, the tranquil village was electrified.
Late into the night, devotees flocked to the temple, each carrying a glass bowl filled with milk.
They proceeded to feed the Nandi Maharaj statue with spoons, hoping to witness the event themselves.
Sunday night saw an influx of devotees to the Shiv temple, arriving around 10 pm.
In no time, locals carrying milk in bowls and glasses from their homes reached the temple.
Women, men, and children all took turns feeding milk to the Nandi Baba idol.
As they did so, devotional hymns filled the air, with chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ resonating through the night.
Opinions among the locals varied – some viewed the event as miraculous, while others dismissed it as mere superstition.
The ritual of feeding milk to Nandi Baba went on until late into the night.
The month of Sawan saw a constant flow of devotees, eager to please Lord Shiva, heading towards Shivalaya to offer milk to the Nandi Baba idol.
