Discussion on Uniform Civil Code’s Impact on Tribals Held at XLRI Auditorium Jamshedpur

A discussion was conducted at XLRI Auditorium, Jamshedpur, to analyze the implications of the impending Uniform Civil Code on the tribal population.

JAMSHEDPUR – In the XLRI Auditorium located in Bishtupur, a crucial discussion was organized by representatives of the tribal community on the Uniform Civil Code proposed by the Central Government.

This discussion was designed to understand whether the new law would be beneficial to the tribal communities or not.

The Kolhan level discussion saw participation from all sections of the tribal society in Kolhan, providing them an opportunity to learn more about the bill.

Jugsalai Paro Pargana Dashrath Hansda stressed the importance of understanding the ramifications of any law, deeming it crucial to discern whether it’s beneficial or detrimental to society.

He expressed his concerns that the Uniform Civil Code could potentially threaten the existence of tribal societies, concluding that it isn’t beneficial for them.

Furthermore, he revealed that strategies are being developed to tackle the potential implications of the law.
