Manik Mallik, president of Seva Hi Lakshya, commemorates Hul Day at Parsudih Haludbani Panchayat, urging the fight against corruption, unemployment, and substance abuse in the spirit of Sido-Kanhu’s revolution.
JAMSHEDPUR – Hul Divas, a significant day in the history of Jharkhand, was celebrated in Parsudih Haludbani Panchayat under Jamshedpur Block.
This celebration was spearheaded by Veer Shaheed Sido-Kanhu Seva Hi Lakshya, an organization dedicated to the principles of the Hul revolutionaries Sido-Kanhu.
Zila Parshad Purnima Malik paid tribute to the revolutionary leaders by offering garlands on their statue.
She also distributed one thousand sarees among the needy individuals present at the event.
Following this, Manik Mallick, president of Seva Hi Lakshya, enlightened the audience on the detailed biography of Sido-Kanhu.
He reminded everyone that these two brothers had started the Hul revolution to gain freedom from the British rule.
On 30 June 1855, under their leadership, the bugle of rebellion against the British was blown from Bhognadih village of Sahebganj district in Jharkhand.
Drawing parallels to the present times, Mallick appealed to the youth to fight against prevalent social issues such as corruption, unemployment, and drug abuse.
