Saryu Roy Urges JUSCO for Electricity in Every Cable Town Home

Saryu Roy, MLA, has requested the MD of Tata Steel UISL to provide electricity connection to every home in Cable Town and Basti.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has penned a letter to the Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL demanding an electricity connection for every house in Cable Town and Basti.

This follows a discussion between the two parties from two days prior.

The MD had previously informed Roy that NOC was requested from the RP of Incab Industries, and later relayed the refusal of NOC by the same.

Roy argued that if the company can provide water connections to each household with the consent of the former RP in Cable Town Basti, the same should be possible for electricity connections.

He believes that any legal objections by the RP (Resolution Professional) could be effectively addressed.

Roy reminded in his letter that the lease given under the earlier agreement between Tata Steel and INCAB expired in 2019.

He claimed that as the land is now under government protection, any work should be done with governmental consent.

Roy stated that it is unnecessary to seek NOC from RP of INCAB, which has been declared insolvent, to provide door to door electricity connection in the area and refusal of RP to give NOC is not binding.

He has urged the MD to make the necessary decisions and take action within 15 days.
