JAMSHEDPUR – A two-hour sit-in protest was held by workers at HDFC Bank, including housekeeping staff, office boys, pantry boys, and security forces, under the banner of the Jharkhand Unorganized Labor Union.
The protestors are demanding improvements to their salaries and service conditions.
The workers claim that they have approached the labor department multiple times regarding their demands, but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
Accusing the management of failing to honor their commitments, the frustrated workers decided to stage a symbolic protest to make their grievances known.
The Jharkhand Pradesh Bank Employees Association has pledged to support the protesting workers in their struggle, promising to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them in their fight for fairer treatment.
