Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad protests for the resumption of 11th grade admissions in Jamshedpur’s colleges.
JAMSHEDPUR – Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a one-day dharna in front of the Jamshedpur District Education Department office.
The protest aimed at pressing the demand for the reopening of the 11th grade nominations, which are currently halted in all city colleges.
Notably, most government colleges in the city have now acquired the status of colleges and, under the new education policy, cannot conduct 11th and 12th grade classes.
However, schools in the city have not yet fully upgraded to accommodate students up to the 12th grade.
This scenario has created a predicament for students who have completed their matriculation examination as they are unable to find admission opportunities.
The student council, therefore, is advocating for the initiation of 11th-grade admissions in colleges as a resolution to this issue.
