Students from Kolhan Chhatra Sangharsh Morcha intensify their stand against Principal Amar Singh, leveling allegations of irregularities.
JAMSHEDPUR – The conflict between Kolhan Chhatra Sangharsh Morcha, a student faction, and the management of Co-operative College, escalates as students stand firm against the college principal, Amar Singh.
Student leaders from Kolhan Chhatra Sangharsh Morcha were accused by Principal Amar Singh of attempting to breach the strong room and violating Section 144.
These accusations were made at the Sub-Divisional Officer’s (SDO) office, leading to a charge sheet against the students.
However, upon the SDO’s request for a clear representation of the students’ side, the leaders came forward to expose alleged irregularities and corruption perpetrated by the principal.
According to Sonu Thakur of Kolhan Chhatra Sangharsh Morcha, Principal Amar Singh has been using various tactics to cover up his irregularities.
Inder Hembrom of the Adivasi Student Union warned that lockouts would be enforced in all colleges unless the principal is denied access, except for office-related duties, in light of the alleged irregularities.
Pappu Yadav, a member of the Morcha, expressed that the group is prepared to protest on the streets against any university principals who threaten students.
Virendra Kumar of Kolhan University Students Union said it plans to expose the alleged irregularities of the Principal to the newly appointed in-charge Vice-Chancellor, Commissioner of Kolhan.
The student leaders have vowed to continue their fight against alleged anomalies in the college.
