Ex-MLA Kunal Sarangi and President Draupadi Murmu discuss public interest issues in a meeting in New Delhi, President assures prompt solutions.

Jamshedpur – In a significant meeting held in New Delhi, BJP Jharkhand State Spokesperson and former MLA, Kunal Sarangi, met with the President Draupadi Murmu and raised five critical public issues affecting public interest with her.

The President assured him of taking appropriate actions towards these matters.

Mr. Sarangi brought forth a slew of issues, including the initiation of air service for the citizens of Jamshedpur, the implementation of an institutional framework for addressing harassment cases for both genders, establishing a satellite center for AIIMS in Jamshedpur, and initiating work on the Chakulia-Budhamara railway line.

He also stressed on starting the Vande Bharat train service via Tatanagar and addressing the long-pending issue of Jal Sahiyas’ outstanding honorariums and incentive payments.

The air service for Jamshedpur, which has been a topic of discussion for many years, needs to be operational under the UDAN scheme, connecting Jamshedpur with other major cities, he stressed.

Kunal Sarangi also stressed the importance of an even-handed approach to harassment cases for both men and women, noting the increasing suicide rates among men due to familial reasons and the misuse of Section 498A.

The need for a satellite center of AIIMS in Jamshedpur was highlighted, owing to the city’s growing industrial stature and the dependence on Tata Main Hospital (TMH).

The request was made to ease healthcare access for the citizens.

Sarangi also addressed the necessity of starting the Chakulia-Budhamara railway line project and implementing the Vande Bharat train services via Tatanagar to improve the transportation facilities in the region.

Lastly, the issue of Jal Sahiyas’ unpaid honorariums and incentive amounts was discussed. Approximately 2300 Jal Sahiyas in East Singhbhum district have not received their dues for nearly 50 months, impacting their living conditions.

President Draupadi Murmu affirmed that she would consider all the raised issues and would soon engage in a dialogue with the departmental ministers to find resolutions.
