Kishore Kumar and Madhubala first met during the shooting of the film “Dhake Ki Malmal” in 1956. Their initial interactions blossomed into a deep love, leading to their marriage in 1960.

Despite the opposition from their families and Madhubala’s critical health condition, the couple decided to tie the knot.

Madhubala was diagnosed with a ventricular septal defect, a condition known as a “hole in the heart”, and was advised against working in films or starting a family.

Despite the odds, Kishore Kumar stood by her throughout her illness. However, their marriage was fraught with complications, with Madhubala’s deteriorating health causing significant strain.
