Jamshedpur – In a tragic turn of events, the festive atmosphere of Eid in Jamshedpur was overshadowed by the drowning of a young man, Hanif Zeeshan, in the Subarnarekha River.

A resident of Munshi Mohalla, under Mango Police Station, Hanif had gone to bathe in the river with his friend, Sheikh Farhad, after offering Eid prayers.

Unfortunately, Hanif was swept away by the strong current in the deep water.

Sheikh Farhad made valiant efforts to save his friend, but ultimately failed.

Fishermen in the area managed to pull both young men from the water and rushed them to MGM Hospital.

Tragically, doctors declared Hanif dead upon arrival, while Sheikh Farhad remains under treatment.
