Jamshedpur: Tragedy struck at MGM Medical College in Dimna, Jamshedpur, as female Home Guard jawan Rakhi Rajak passed away while on duty.
According to sources, Rakhi Rajak’s health had deteriorated, and she was rushed to TMH on Saturday night. However, the doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
Rakhi Rajak was posted at MGM Medical College in Dimna, Jamshedpur, and her sudden demise has shocked the entire Home Guard community.
Her body was brought to the Home Guard office in Sakchi on Sunday, where the company commander and other officers gave her state honor.
Her body was wrapped in flowers, and the officers saluted her as a mark of respect.
After the ceremony, the body was taken for the last rites.
Rakhi Rajak was a resident of Bhalubasa, and her sudden demise has left her family and colleagues in a state of shock.
The company commander told the media that a check of Rs. 10,000 has been given to the family members for the last rites of Rakhi Rajak.
The MGM Medical College has also announced financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh for her family separately.
