MLA duo urges JBVNL to ensure 20-hour electricity supply in rural areas

Jamshedpur: Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren and Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar met the GM of JBVNL on Monday and urged him to take steps to ensure that all faulty wiring in the rural areas are attended to and replaced as soon as possible to avert any accident.

The two MLAs also asked the GM JBVNL to ensure that rural areas get at least 20-hour electricity supply.

The two MLAs said that keeping in mind the recent accidents in which innocent villagers have lost their lives due to faulty wiring, it is mandatory for the department to check and replace all outdated wires in the supply system.

The two MLAs also highlighted the problem of frequent load shedding in the rural areas.

They said that the villagers are getting only 4-5 hours of electricity supply and this is causing problems for them.

The two MLAs apprised JBVNL GM with the problems faced by the village areas and asked him to fix it.

Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren said that instructions have also been given to install new transformers in rural areas. He said that this will be done in a few days.

He said that the officials have also been directed to ensure that people get electricity for 20 hours in 24 hours in rural areas.
