New Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais takes oath

Ranchi: The new Governor of Jharkhand Mr. Ramesh Bais took oath of secrecy today in a brief ceremony at the Raj Bhavan. The Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Dr. Ravi Ranjan administered the loath of secrecy to him in a ceremony organised at Birsa Mandap in Raj Bhavan.

Earlier, the former Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh read out the warrant of appointment of the new Governor.

Those who were present during the oath taking ceremony included the Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, minister Alamgir Alam, Rameshwar Oraon, Satyanand Bhokta, Champai Soren, Joba Manjhi, Banna Gupta, Badal Patralekh, Sanjay Seth and Deepak Prakash.

The Chief of Ranchi Municipal Corporation Asha Lakda, judges of Jharkhand High Court, Development Commissioner Arun Singh, DGP Neeraj Sinha and other officials were also present on the occasion.
