Minor Gets Seriously Injured in Road Accident at Marine Drive, Admitted in TMH
Angry locals block Marine Drive after minor was injured after being hit by a Scorpio

Jamshedpur: A 10-year-old minor boy was badly injured after being hit by a Scorpio near Marine Drive under Kadma police station.

As soon as the information about the accident reached the nearby bustee, a large crowd of locals gathered at the site. The injured child was rushed to TMH by the locals and is in a serious condition.

The police too arrived soon. The injured minor child A Deogam is undergoing treatment. He is stated to be in a serious condition.

Angry locals soon blocked Marine Drive demanding compensation.

On the other hand, as soon as the information of the incident was received, Kadma police station in-charge Manoj Thakur reached the spot along with a team of policemen and tried to get the road blockade cleared by persuading the locals.

A local resident Dilip Rai said that the minor child was hit by the Scorpio. The Scorpio was trying to overtake another vehicle and the minor child was dragged to some distance.

The injured child belongs to a poor family and his parents are labourers.

Kadma police station in-charge Manoj Thakur, who arrived at the spot, assured the locals that the treatment of the child would be taken care of.

On his assurance, the blockade was lifted by the angry locals.
