4 more arrested in CH Area firing case

Gun with silencer and 3 live cartridges recovered

Jamshedpur: In a major success, the city police on Saturday arrested two more accused, Manoj Vibhar and Vishal Vibhar, in the CH Area firing case. The police also recovered one country-made gun with 3 live cartridges from the possession of Parwez Ali and Md. Tausif alias Md. Chand acting on the basis of statement of arrested accused.

The SSP Dr. M Tamil Vanan, while addressing a press conference today, said that Md. Tausif alias Md. Chand and Perwez Ali had bought the gun from Manoj Vibhar for Rs. 19 thousand and had kept it hidden in their house.

He said that all the arrested accused have confessed to their crime. The police have also recovered a mobile phone from their possession.

The SSP said that one of the accused Vishal Vibhar has a criminal antecedent. He said that till date 12 accused have been arrested in connection with the firing in CH Area. All the weapons used in the firing have also been recovered. He said that police are also trying to arrest two more accused in the case.

He described the firing incident as a consequence of tussle for dominance and personal enmity.

The City SP S C Jat, CCR Dy SP Animesh Gupta and Bistupur OC were also present in the press conference.
