Ratan Tata, Chandrasekharan arrive in Jamshedpur as city celebrates Founder’s Day

Jamshedpur: On 3rd March, Jamshedpur will celebrate the birth anniversary of its founder J N Tata. Ratan Tata, the former chairman of the Tata Group, and N Chandreshkaran, Chairman, have reached Jamshedpur to attend the Founder’s Day celebrations.

No big event is being organised on Founders Day celebrations this year in view of Covid. However, Tata group has dedicated to the country a state-of-the-art and Hi-Tech Hockey Academy. Ratan Tata, N. Chandrasekaran and T V Narendran inaugurated the Hockey Academy on Tuesday.

Chief of Corporate Communications, Tata Steel Sarvesh Kumar said that the academy is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

He said that cadets will be fully trained and prepared as future sportspersons.

He said that the foundation stone of Hockey Academy was laid in Jamshedpur in 2018 and now it has been dedicated to the country after 3 years.
