Banna Gupta Leads Padyatra Against Farm Laws 2020

Jamshedpur: On the instructions of Congress high command, the Congress workers and leaders participated in a padyatra to protest the farm laws 2020.

The party high command had appealed to the party workers to take part in a padyatra on Saturday to oppose the farm laws 2020.

Responding to the party high command’s call, a large number of Congress workers and leaders participated in a 12-km-long foot march.

The march started from Karandih and reached Bistupur Postal Park traversing around 12 km.

All units of Congress party took part in the foot march.

The state Health Minister Banna Gupta too took part in the padyatra programme and supported the farmers’ agitation.

The district president of the party Vijay Khan termed the farm laws as black laws and leveled serious charges against the centre.

He said that hundreds of farmers have laid down their lives to oppose the farm laws, but the central government is not listening to their point of view.

He said that the central government is not serious on resolving the farmers’ issue.

He described the foot march programme a big success in Jamshedpur and thanked the people participating in the foot march.
