13th day of zero corona death in East Singhbhum

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus caused no death in the city of Jamshedpur and East Singhbhum district even on Friday as the total death toll remained static at 375. This was 13th consecutive day of zero corona death in the district.

According to official data no fresh cases of Corona virus infections were detected in East Singhbhum district on Friday.

With this, the total number of infected persons in East Singhbhum district has now reached 18,004.

On the other hand, 8 patients of coronavirus were also cured and discharged from different hospitals of the district on Friday taking the total number of recovered patients to 17,566.

As per official data, till Friday a total of 5,19,503 samples have been tested in East Singhbhum district. Out of these, 18,004 samples have tested positive while 5,01,499 samples had tested negative.

For now, the district has only 63 active coronavirus cases. The recovery rate in the district has now reached 97.58% while the mortality rate still hovers around 2.08%. The positivity rate is 3.47% in its symbol district.

East Singhbhum district still remains the most affected district of Jharkhand state. However, for the last 48 days the district has not reported more than one death as the situation has improved considerably.
