Corona continues causing deaths in Jharkhand, claims 1 more life on Thursday

Ranchi: Coronavirus continues to cause deaths in Jharkhand even while East Singhbhum, the worst-affected district of the state, has completed one full month of zero coronavirus-caused death.

On Thursday, 1 more death was caused by the virus in Jharkhand. The only death was reported from Gumla district.

According to official data, 195 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the state taking the total number of infections in the state to 1,16,269. On the other hand, 195 patients were also cured and discharged on Thursday. The total number of cured patients has reached 1,13,740.

Till date, 49,00,473 samples have been tested in the state. Out of these, 1,16,269 have tested positive.

For now, the state has only 1,448 active cases of coronavirus infections.

The recovery rate in the state is 97.85%, while the mortality rate is 0.89%.
