Corona claims 2 more lives in Jharkhand on Friday, total deaths 1,027

Ranchi: Coronavirus has claimed 2 more lives in Jharkhand, taking the total death toll due to the virus to 1,027.

As per official data, 223 new cases were also reported in the state on Friday. With this, the total number of infections in the state has reached 1,14,873.

According to official data, the state has tested 47,83,653 samples till date. Out of these, 1,14,873 samples tested positive, while, 1,12,206 have already been cured and discharged.

For now, the state has 1,640 active cases of coronavirus infections.

On Friday, 223 patients were also cured and discharged. On the other hand, 2 deaths were also reported taking the total death toll to 1,027.

The recovery rate for the state has now reached 97.67%, while the mortality rate is only 0.89%.

East Singhbhum is the worst-hit district of the state.
