18th day of no corona death, total death toll 374, 45 new cases

Jamshedpur: No coronavirus death was reported on Saturday in East Singhbhum district. It was the 18th straight day when zero corona-caused death was reported from Jamshedpur. The total death toll for the district remained at 374 at the end of the day.

According to official data, however, 45 new coronavirus infection cases were detected in the district, taking the total number of infections to 17,474.

On the other hand, 26 patients were also cured and discharged. With this, the total number of recoveries have reached 16,892.

For now, the city has only 208 active cases of coronavirus infection. It had come down to 189 on Friday, but with addition of 45 more active cases on Saturday and deducting 26 already cured the active cases have now reached 208.

The district has tested 4,52,877 samples till date. Out of these, 17,474 have tested positive, while 4,35,403 have tested negative.

For now, the recovery rate for the district is at 97%, mortality rate has come down to 2.1%, while the positivity rate too has come down to 3.9%.
